Founded in 1812, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio was originally called Manchester. The Cuyahoga River runs north and south through the city. In the early days, the river was a source for mills and manufacturing, and by 1840 Cuyahoga Falls had a wider variety of manufacturing and jobs than any other Ohio settlement.
